Book Review- How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent

Have you ever judged a book by it’s title? I won’t lie I saw this title on netgalley and requested it straight away. I only read the blurb after requesting. It just sounded like a funny read and I’m glad I did. Thanks to Netgalley for gifting me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I have always been into thrillers and Crime shows and this book is basically the female, less serious, more comedic equivalent of Dexter.

After Kitty Collins accidentally kills a man stalking her after leaving a nightclub she realises she likes the feeling of wreaking vengeance on men for all the females out there. Revenge tastes sweet when she dishes it up and the men she targets are lowlife. But do they all deserve it?

This was a twisted, dark humoured but nonetheless enjoyable ride. The first person narrative made it an intimate novel between serial killer and reader, where you get to read about all Kitty’s juicy, darkest secrets.

The novel starts you right in the middle of the action, or rather mid kill and so you are thrown straight in which I love as it keeps you on your toes from the beginning.

This was an easy going, fun read which is just right for these cold, winter nights.

So, if you want a fun, female serial killer read and want to freak out the men in your life by reading this in front of them I highly recommend this book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – fun, twisted, dark and a hilarious read.
